Our greatest asset is our people. The B9F7 Parvis Trust team is a carefully curated group of professionals who combine deep operational expertise with disciplined financial acumen. We have intentionally built a diverse, multinational team, believing that varied perspectives are essential for sound judgment and identifying non-obvious opportunities.

Our team operates as a single, integrated unit from our Madrid headquarters, comprising seasoned investors, former C-suite executives, sector-specific engineers, and policy experts. We are united by an intellectual curiosity and a shared commitment to building enduring value.

Shelby Swinton Managing Partner Member ID: P-001

Shelby is the Managing Partner and visionary behind B9F7 Parvis Trust. With over two decades of experience in global private equity and venture capital, he has built a formidable track record of identifying and scaling high-growth technology and infrastructure companies. Before founding B9F7, Shelby was a partner at a prominent New York-based investment firm, where he led its European technology practice. He relocated to Madrid to establish B9F7, recognizing Spain’s unique potential as a hub for innovation. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Elara Kallio Partner, AI & Data Security Member ID: P-003

Dr. Kallio leads our investment practice in Artificial Intelligence and Data Security. A Finnish national, she is a recognized expert in applied machine learning and cryptographic systems. Prior to joining B9F7, Elara was the Chief Technology Officer of a leading Helsinki-based cybersecurity firm that was successfully acquired. She also served as a senior researcher at CERN, working on distributed computing and data integrity. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Helsinki and is a passionate advocate for ethical AI implementation.

Tiago Monteiro Partner, New Energy Member ID: P-004

Tiago heads our New Energy division, bringing over 15 years of operational and financial experience in the renewables sector. A Portuguese native, he began his career as an engineer for a leading wind turbine manufacturer before moving into project finance and development. He has successfully managed the development and financing of over 2GW of wind and solar assets across Europe and Latin America. Before joining B9F7, he was a Director at a major European utility. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Lucia Serrano Chief Financial Officer Member ID: P-002

Lucia is responsible for all financial, operational, and compliance functions at B9F7. As a Spanish national, she anchors our presence in Madrid. With over 18 years of experience, she has a deep and practical understanding of European financial regulations and fund management. Lucia began her career in assurance at a “Big Four” firm before serving as the CFO for two high-growth, private-equity-backed companies, guiding both to successful exits. She holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School (Madrid) and is a chartered accountant.

Zofia Nowak Director, Education Investments Member ID: D-007

Zofia leads our investment thesis in the Education sector. Originally from Poland, she is an expert in education policy and EdTech market dynamics. She previously worked with a pan-European social impact fund, focusing on ventures that addressed the skills gap and youth unemployment. Her experience combines a deep understanding of pedagogical models with a sharp analysis of scalable, technology-driven business models. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from the Hertie School in Berlin.

Jaan Kross Principal, Digital Infrastructure MemberID: D-009

Jaan is a Principal focused on our Digital Infrastructure investments, including data centers, fiber, and telecommunications. An Estonian national, he has a unique background blending technology and finance. He was an early employee at a successful Tallinn-based SaaS company, where he helped scale its cloud infrastructure globally. He then moved into investment banking in London, covering the TMT (Technology, Media, & Telecom) sector before joining B9F7. He holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from TalTech.
